As a teacher you always have to be in control of your own situation. You are held accountable for everything that you say so it is important to never say anything which should not be said. 4 Ways to Regain Class Control - This article sates 4 ways to regain control if you lose control of your students. I really liked the strategy that said give a pep talk to the students. I have always been a big fan of pep talks as a way of motivating the students to succeed, especially if you have the ability to pull a struggling student aside and trying to motivate them to do well.

It talks about how it is important to get the parents involved with the discipline of the student early. Also It states that it is important to have communication with your principal in discussing his policy with students being sent down to the office.
